Whey is only as good as the cheese it came from, which is why our whey is the best. Swiss Whey is naturally higher in pH than other cheese varieties, therefore no pH adjustment is necessary and no artificial colors are used.

As a by-product of the Swiss cheese manufacturing process, sweet whey is the liquid remaining after the milk has been coagulated and strained. All of our sweet whey is sourced solely from Rothenbuhler® Cheesemakers.

Sweet Whey Powder is an excellent ingredient because it contains highly digestible, essential amino acids and lactose which aid the nutritional growth of infants and adults.

Packaging/Labeling

Whey powder will be packaged in 25kg./50lb. bags or 2200 lb. totes. The 25kg/50lb. bag will be a two- or three-ply paper bag with polypropylene liner hot glue closed. The 2200 lb. tote is woven polypropylene bag with a polypropylene liner tied closed.

The 25kg bag skid label is printed with product identification, batch number, product tracking information, plant name and plant number. The 25kg bags are labeled by an ink jet printer with the batch code, and weight –  “25kg” or “50lb.” depending on customer request. The 2200 lb. totes have a printed ticket attached to each tote with product identification, batch number, product tracking information, plant name and plant number.
